Is it maybe the way it will remain?

No notifications here but that is OK with me as I tend to get too involved.

If you are carrying on a technical discussion trying to help someone or learn more details about the technical issues yourself , however, it would be nice if you got a notification on the questions asked of you so you could respond in a timely manner :handshak:

Will it remain you ask.......maybe ;) At least we can now log on the Forum :p

I am about ready to just post my cell phone number so if someone wants me to go into more detail or they want to give me some interesting technical information helpful to me, they can just text message me. Many have my cell phone number allready which I provide primarily as a learning experience for me as new and interesting technical LT5 issues come up (they call me giving me a heads up on technical issues I have not yet come across in my own experience).

On the bright side, we have purchase the mobile suite for vBulletin, which works with 3.8.x, 4.2 and 5. This will allow mobile devices (I provide my cell phone number to many) such as smartphones and tablets to have a better experience on our forum. We will very slowly keep you posted as this develops.
Thanks

Ya.....like I say.......my smartphone experience is great having provided my cell phone number to many

An interesting juxtaposition of issues with the thread called "2016 Renewal" issues at the same time as this thread called "More Forum issues" :sign10:

It Is What It Is

I just got my quota of five smilies and one photo posted......the one in the signature does not count.

In the mean time....here is a Christmas Photo for everyone just taken yesterday (the real thing)

I am not receiving any notifications of subscribed threads anymore either. Other than that, the forum seems to be operating great.

Happy Monday everyone! Any progress on this glitch yet? Thanks!

Yes! Mark and Dennis and our site host have spent considerable man hours pouring over the particular software (code-level) details and think they have run the "glitch" to ground.

As you know, the old server "went over the cliff", causing the site to slow down and finally quit altogether. So, the FORUM site and all its files were moved to a new server and also some necessary upgraded software was added in the process.

The technical details are best left confidential, but the missing notification features (like before) should be restored within the next day or so, barring any unforeseen complications!

Thanks goes to Mark Horner and Dennis Feirstien for their dogged, often late night efforts and computer expertise to keep our FORUM up and running. So, tip a cup-o-cheer of thanks to them!

The subscription notifications missing for a time is not really a big issue but was and is a nice function of the Forum for those keeping up with technical questions and answeres. This glitch gave me the opportunity to clean out old subscriptions for old threads wherein the associated LT5/ZR-1 Technical Issues/Questions have been solved and such Solutions have been incorporated/Indexed in -Solutions-.

Thanks Mark and Dennis for working the bugs out of the New Software for us

Appreciate it :handshak:

Cliff
