UPDATE: Marc's gathering AND drag racing too!
Because the (Team TROPHY) time trials finish late morning, and Marc's gathering is in the PM, it is NOT necessary to choose one over the other: Have your RACE and FEAST in celebration TOO! ( C-post #6)
Two for ONE! Gonna be a great day for the BEASTS! :dancing |
Re: UPDATE: Marc's gathering AND drag racing too!
Where do you drag race? I am going to Marc's without a ZR-1 and thought about watching the FBI defend their title. It must be a big secret because CPCC doesn't even give event info for this. What time? Where?

Re: UPDATE: Marc's gathering AND drag racing too!
Once again, the FBI puts their cam lobes on the line. And we were missing
Pete and Al's ZRs this time. Marc had his BBQ so we missed out on his always consistent driving. Perhaps as mentioned before, the DA was ~ 3000'. Given that, I was pleased w what Mr. Gillig was able to wring out of my motor which was an equivalent time to the last CPCC in better air. Bogging at the line Bob was still able to come up w a 12.4 at 118.96. The trap speed was nearly 2mph higher than the last CPCC run. That was in total street config. Air filter, street tune and 35psi in the tires. Having him run my car was great just to get the perspective of a truly experienced driver. Because of the 345x19s, the car needs more gear. He was going through the traps in 3rd and not close to peak power. Still managed a 92.63 in the 1/8 so we're picking up 26+mph in the second half. Wondering if taking 36lbs off the rotors helped that at all.Hmmm. |
