That was Roy Sinor ... he's a C2 guru ... I did not see him signing any checks though.

I've heard this for the last several years. Maybe more so now given that it looks like GM won't be making a C7 ZR1.

I wonder how many ZR1s (sans hyphen (-)) will still have their original engines after19-24 years...?

I call BS on that opinion:thumbsdo:

C'mon, a car with a production run of nearly seven thousand is never going to be worth anywhere near what an L88 is. The big bucks value of the L88 is directly related to it's rarity. They built how many total L88's? 216 or so?

Some expert.

Whoops, I take that back. Perhaps he's referring to the 1970 ZR-1, which had the smallest production run of any small block Corvette. A total of 25 were built.

I don't want to rain on parades, but Keith Martin's 2014 Sports Car Market Pocket Guide just came out and he does not seem as enamored with our ZR-1s. The ZR-1s, he concluded, are a “C” Investment Grade which he defines as “Cars that have some inherent interest but have few special or desirable characteristics. Examples are the Porsche 914, the Saab Sonnet II and the Triumph TR-4”. (All the other C-4s are a “D” grade). Their market forecast is three stars, which he defines as “Fully priced at the current time. Will appreciate or depreciate along with the market at large.”

He showed value ranges as follows: '90,'91, and '92s: $20,500-$30,500; '93s: $21,500-$34,500 (40th $34,000-$42,000); '94: $30,500-$41,500; '95: $31,500-$43,000. Noted that Bloomington Gold, NCRS certification or racing history can add considerably to value.

Oh well. Next time I see a Saab Sonnet I will ask if he wants to race. --Bob

A lot of the grading with Keith Martin is production # based

Only 1 production Corvette you will never be able to clone; ZR-1...engine is to complex. You can fake an L88, COPO Camaros, etc....Not an LT-5
