Prototype Hood

Does anyone have a source for a knockoff fiberglass, or CF, hood shown here on the active suspension prototype.
I?m assuming any GM versions are unobtainable.

There seem to a few vendors who sell similar hoods, like Corvette Central and others. I presumed you have Googled a few, and I certainly don't know about quality or materials used. Or are you looking for a real GM hood for the active suspension car? --Bob

A real one would be the ?holy grail?.
But note, the only ones I?ve ever seen have the scoop lifted at the back 2?, maybe 3?. Too much of a Hot Rod look for me. This hood surprisingly looks like a stocker at rear, but has a bulge for the LT5 up front where you need it.
I used those phenolic plenum spacers back in the 90?s, and they (1/4?)caused the hood to rub on the accordion duct. Not good.

Sorry my pic. Wouldn?t print here. But google the A.S. Car. There?s plenty of pix out there.

For what it's worth Bob, both of my stock hoods rubbed on the accordion, too. Caused a little white mark where it rubbed the black paint away. I regularly used a magic marker to disguise it. And I agree that the big raised hoods are too much of a hot rodder's look. --Bob
