1990 ZR-1 'Active Suspension' Z5Z VIN & RPO

I didn't find a particularly obvious place for this post so I thought I'd just create a 'NEW' Thread.

I fabricated a VIN list of the '90 Z5Z 'Active Suspension' cars and I've compiled RPO lists for all 17. My VIN 'list' I believe will pass all tests. A GM VIS on a few actually show the completion of the seat belt recalls. Pretty interesting cars. A typical '90 would have an ECM code of AUAH. These cars I believe have ACFF ECM.

If this needs to be moved to any particular place LMK. I'll hold on the VIN list, RPO etc until someone mentions where they'd like it. It doesn't pass the requirements for 'PROTOTYPE'.

I've returned as a 'Paid Member' so I'll post the VIN list here and fabricate best I can a SPID label.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've always offered all C4 FSM in .pdf and many have mine as well as their paper. I also have and include with a FSM purchase from me a GM SPO Parts Catalog.

If the FSM and GM SPO Parts Catalog interest you send me a PM or email. I can deliver the FSM anywhere generally the same day paid. I also have the LT5 Supplement.

I've considered maybe offering a VIN specific 'RARITY' for all C4 if the FSM package is purchased.

I let my 'RARITY' subscription expire because I had some issues with GM VIN newer than 2012. Through 2011 it seems to still be intact and functional but newer nothing more than a complete SPID list.

If there were interest in years through 2011 for 'RARITY' I'd likely renew once I sorted it.

Re: 1990 ZR-1 'Active Suspension' Z5Z VIN & RPO

This is I believe a correct VIN list for the Active Suspension Builds. I've had GM VIS run on a few but have confirmed option content on all. Some of these actually seem to have had the Seat Belt Recall 'closed' on them.

This image is a complete RPO list that's based on 1990 Production compared to 16,016 that had potential year & model matches.

The RPO that match the 17 only Z5Z cars are other than the Z5Z (Active Suspension) are D4L (No Description), FE0 (No Description), GH0 (3.54 Rear Axle). The FE0 we can 'speculate' but likely would have become the FR & RR Active Susp RPO, D4L - I believe is the speedo driven to match the 3.54 rear axle ratio. These appear to be the only GH0/3.54 builds in 1990. There were random GH0/3.54 in '91 & '92 I believe but no ZR1 with.

These cars also shared WD1 (Pilot Vehicle), YE8 (Engineering Test Vehicle) which in '90 there were WD1 - 61, YE8 - 62.

They were all 41U (Black) w/C68, CC3 (24S) 193 (Black Leather)

They all also had D74 mirror option that in '90 might have only been seen in 45 builds.

Another 'oddity' with this project is LT5 (3,051) which matches K09 (120A Alternator).

ZR1 (3049) which is a number we see often.
