Potential NE Group GTG Saturday June 25???

How about a "ZR-1 Northeast Group" GTG at the
3rd Annual" Vintage Motorsports Festival" at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park in Thompson CT??? (Northeast CT, easy drive from Hartford, Providence and Boston areas)

They'll have a Corvette Corral on the Saturday (June 25) of the event. The corral is $10 for the day including a parade lap (1st 30 cars) of the track at lunch time in addition to the adult GA of $25, ($20 for Seniors and Veterans, kids and active military FREE). See web link below for details. Probably best to get tickets etc ahead of time.

The event will showcase cars from each of the periods in which the Thompson road course has operated. The newly re-opened and now state of the art road course has a history dating back the very beginning! Over 150 cars including sports cars, open wheel, production and sports-racers will race wheel to wheel as well as be on display!

Went to Thompson Speedway yesterday good weather, good racing, good time and no wrecks!

50 Vettes in the "Corral" including two ZR-1s
(didn't get to talk to him, but we've met before)
Only one Vette racing, a vintage C2 , real healthy sounding!, was fast but my buddy's
240Z ex- professional race car 360hp 2700# on slicks hounded the s*** out of him.
Everyone else was running "Street" tires per the rules, my buddy was
a "guest" (low car count) so he didn't push him too hard so he'd be invited back...
