Carlisle 2014

MY thoughts on Carlise (FWIW)
First it was great to catch up with old friends and great to meet new ones.
As always just an awesome group and the highlight of this event!
Thanks to the board and volunteers that set up, put away, worked the sales tables, cooked burgers, Charlie for his pulled pork and all that lent a hand when needed.

Wouldn't mind accomodations closer to Carlise and a bit nicer. I'd be happy to look into this for next year.
Saturday night dinner needs a new venue as Stocks is no longer the steak house the we heard it was! I thought it pretty much sucked, the food was not worth the price charged!

Indeed, it was great to hang with old friends and make new ones.
Thanks to all that made this happen.
Thanks John for easing the burden on the room.
Ditto on The Stocks.

John

Thanks for the input! Very difficult to find rooms closer and for a reasonable price

Love your assistance in finding another hotel

Wish I could have made the dinner Saturday... I was counting merchandise and packing until almost 7pm.

I heard many say Stocks dinner wasn't like it was and that's a shame!

Bill W has another choice for next year

Can't wait!

cheers

David

Bob Evans?
Les requests a pool at the hotel. (She generally wears a bikini)
It was her idea to mention that. ..just sayin.

It was a fun weekend. Hopefully I wont have to borrow any tools, flashlight or cars to get home.
Thanks again for helping out.

Jeff, glad you guys made it safe and sound. Any word on the clutch yet?
You should have run my car to 7K, you'd have wanted more of your own.
Well David, better get us a pool!

I had a awesome time this year at Carlisle, despite the rain. I wanted to add a big THANKS :handshak:to Robert DeMarco and all the merchandise folks for providing such a great selection of merchandise this year. The new light weight shirts are really great......I need to buy more!!
Great Job!!

It was great seeing everyone....the weekend went way too fast! Sorry I missed everyone for dinner on Saturday. I have family in the area who showed up at the fairgrounds late that afternoon.... I get to see them once a year!

Regards,
Mark

The hotel leaves a bit to be desired, a pool and bar for instance, but after the horrible experience I had this year I was begging for the registry hotel. The drive isn't too bad either, get the car warm, blow out the carbon, have some fun. But I'm not opposed to looking for another place either. I checked at the holiday inn express that's right near the show fields $250/night. I've never done the registry dinner because it was simply more then I would like to spend, shame it wasn't as good as it used to be
