ISO Tech1 adapter 3000053 (16 - 12 ALDL)

I've a friend with a '95 ParkAve Buick and I need this adapter to do some checks for him. The car is OBD1 but has OBD2 connector. I'm quite sure my Tech2 won't do OBD1(on the 16 pin ALDL) and I've got it "on loan" to a fellow that's not close to me anyway.

Someone in NOVA? I might like to "borrow" if I could.

There's a couple dealers in the area that might have and I buy from so Monday I'll likely attempt to have a conversation. If they have, they actually might likely NOT be able to put their "hands on it".

Buy? I might to complete the Tech1 package I have.

Trade? I've many cartridges for the Tech1

No that's a 16/24 adapter of some sorts. I believe that's the required device/adapter cable etc required to do TRUE OBD2 cars with the Tech1

Needs to be this:

Let me check my Tech1A case for the adapter, and I'll mail it along with the DERM module you sent me. In a few weeks I'm picking up a new Tech1A that has every adapter & cartridge...hopefully it has this P/N.

Good morning - I appreciate your looking. If you do I'll use and return if your newer purchase doesn't include it.

This fellows Park Avenue has been somewhat of an adventure. The last time he had it in a shop they had it for 2 weeks and couldn't get a crank. I was sure it was a VATS failure after I spoke to him and I went to the shop with my VATS Interrogator expecting to undo the 2 pin connector, plug in my Interrogator and crank the car. Maybe in '94 or so on many GM's the pins were added to a multi-pin bulkhead style connector and that was a disappointment. I was so sure it was the failure I told the shop to cut the wires and proceed. They wanted to do a several hundred $$$ fix. I ended up driving 40+ miles to get the resistors (string of three), solder and 3/32 heat shrink and showed the shop how to accomplish the fix.

To use my Interrogator I would have needed to use this adapter

Sorry, I don't have that particular adapter.
I checked both Tech1A kits we bought recently, and reviewed the pictures of the new kit I'm getting soon.

Rich -

What is a 3000055? I've seen that # mentioned a time or two but I'm not familiar with it. Quite curious!!

GC - thanks for a look see

*** I stopped at the dealer today and no one could put the "hands on" - company tools OR in a couple techs boxes where I thought it might more likely have been.
