Fun in the Sun @WAZOO 4/8/17

It has been a fun and productive day @WAZOO Maintenance Day for the gang and myself. Besides driving down to Jim's for a gathering today, I also had the opportunity to drive down and visit another fellow WAZOO member Bob Cooke at his house on Wednesday. Put about 400 plus miles on the ZR-1 this week. Ran great, still have the slight idle issue, but that is for another thread.

Enjoyed Wednesday over at Bob's, got to see his collection and garages. Very impressive, also owns a C2, C3 & C6 ZR1 besides the 93 Ruby ZR-1. Thanks to Bob and his wife Lois for their hospitality, appreciated. :)

Not only sunny on Wednesday, but a great sunny Saturday for the WMD at Jim's. Rolled in about 9:40 this AM and there are two ZR-1's in the garage, one is Al's which is up on the lift and the other is Charlie's which is backed in the other bay.

Al is getting an extensive drivetrain makeover which includes replacing the DMF, PP, TOB, and Clutch disc. But wait, there is more, he also is replacing the u-joints in the driveshaft and adding the C4 Beam Plates to the driveline beam. And changing the trans fluid with the trans out of the car. A very busy all day schedule for sure!!!

Charlie on the other hand is Charlie, what else can I say!!! lol
Charlie is busy replacing his fuel pumps and also needs to track down a persistent fluid leak which later is finally solved.

Bob is also anxious to get his Haibeck chip installed, I helped installing the chip and it's a success. Need to get a follow up report from everyone about their results.

Rich and Bob are also there early helping and filming Charlie and also Al doing their repairs. Jim of course is giving guidance and helping out anyway he can. I start taking pics and help in between whenever I can. I have a ton of pics to post. The whole purpose of course is to share with everyone what a WMD is like and the fun, and enjoyment that is achieved during and when the job is complete. Nelson arrived later and mentioned that posting the pics not only shows members what can be done, but may also give them the incentive to do to a job that they normally would not attempt. I agree with Nelson and hope that the members who may not think they can accomplish a certain task, will maybe give it another thought.
OF course this does not pertain to the many capable members and other groups around the country who have the knowledge, know how and facilities to perform any task needed. These pics are just for their viewing pleasure.

As the morning progressed, Matt and his son Dillon showed up in their recent purchase of a second ZR-1, this one in White, looking very good.
Al's son Jimmy arrived and was a big help to dad with the task at hand.
Darrin arrived just in time when the bellhousing just got removed.....lol
Yun, Phil, another Rich and I'm sure others could not make it today, although Yun checked in later during the day for a report.

Have to say that Jim and Rich are like the energizer bunny, they keep going and going and going. Again, a fun productive day, great to see everyone!!!

Hope you enjoy the pics, as there are many.....

I'll start with the crew......
L-R...Bob...Jim...Charlie...Matt...Rich...Jimmy...Al ...Darrin...Dillon and yours truly....taking the pic. Nelson showed up later after the group pic, but I did get a shot of his ZR1.
