Paint Help

Young man down the street who has washed, clay bared and waxed my Z before tells me he has a new wash he wants to use to really clean the paint.
I don't ask questions unfortunately. Turns out it is a degreaser. He washes the Z in full Florida sun and 90 degree temp. Now the paint has clouds in it.

What can I do to get these clouds out?
I have not tried anything yet. Wanted to get some feed back first.

Re: Paint Help

Prior to cleaning, was there "true WAX" or was it a synthetic sealant?
Clouds suggest wax that has moved around and or became loosened by the degreaser and coagulated in spots.
If so, you need not be too aggressive at first.
Before polishing, try a commercial wax remover available from any paint supplier like eastwood.
USE IN THE SHADE!
If that works, simply follow up with a most mild polish or glaze, then re-wax or reseal.
If that does not work, or it was a synthetic sealer, try the same first on a smaller section. It likely will have no effect.
If that is the case begin with mild polish or glaze, working backwards through the aggressiveness scale until you clear it up.
In other words do not start with the heaviest cutting agent at first, only go as heavy as you need, then work to the lighter ones ending up with glaze, then seal or wax if you desire, although the glaze will leave it looking best.
Keep us posted with results.
I feel badly for you both!
Marty

He tells me it was only wax on the car before and after the degreaser. I've ordered some P21S paintwork cleaner. I'll see how that works.

If that doesn’t work, try Griots Garage surface prep, includes a paint cleaning synthetic clay and Speed Shine, PN 11332 for $30. Then you can use your favorite polish and synthetic wax. Wishing you success!

Success, the paint looks better than it ever has. It's not perfect but it's 29 years old with 178,000 miles on original paint. When doing sections I could really see the difference in color from removing the clouds or haze.

Happy to hear it turned out well.
Felt badly for you and even worse for your young detailer friend.
Now go put some real miles on that puppy!
