Clutch master to slave hydraulic line??
I need to replace the hydraulic line between the master and slave cylinders on my 90 ZR-1. I tried several to no avail.
I imagine too that a competent hydraulic repair shop would be able to make one, OR maybe I could (with the right parts and tools of course). Of course, I'd prefer new, AND braided too would be nice. (I tried Jerry's Gaskets web page, but if he's got 'em, his search engine can't find 'em, apparently:(...) Any recommendations??? |
Re: Clutch master to slave hydraulic line??
I bought one for the 91 at Corvette Central, new and braided.
Just looked and here is what they have for 90. Not sure if this is LT5 specific? http://www.parts123.com/corvettecent...50f&ukey=13194 Sent from my iPhone using ZR-1 Net Registry |

Clutch master to slave hydraulic line??
Hey P,
I'm at work now, but I'll send you the part number tonight for the braided one you're looking for. I just bought one. Someone will probably beat me to it. Sent from my iPhone using ZR-1 Net Registry |

If this SS Braided hose works on your 1990 Paul......post up :handshak: Just found out the Full Power Key Switch may be another change between 1990 and 1991. Waiting on that verification for the moment as Kevin and I both successfully refurbished our 1990 Full Power Key Switches which refurbishment does not necessarily apply to 1991 and later ;) I may have to modify/upgrade..........Differences between 90', 91' and 95' ZR-1s and Engines |
Re: Clutch master to slave hydraulic line??
Well, many thanks for all the leads! I've ear-marked them all for reference.
In the mean time, I might have located one from Summit Racing - which is 1/3 the cost (is $44.xx shipped) of some of these. But, if it doesn't fit, then I won't hesitate to "pull the trigger" for one of these recommendations! Again, mine is a 1990 - not sure what the difference might be, tho the Dorman slave has the bleeder on the bottom (hallelujah!). I will "post up" with my findings when parts arrive. Paul. |

You're welcome P! When I had my 90 I upgraded both the line and clutch slave cylinder to later model per both the Doc and Jim J for the bleed purpose. I think both have to be done together. http://www.zfdoc.com/clutch_hydraulic.htm At that time I had the GM line. If I had another 90 I would upgrade it too.
