Yes. I bought one and converted it to ZR1 specs, bought yours, and also had one from P9Y078.

I've been working evenings on my car and working on 53-55's during the day. Very exhausting lately. Had to get this thing done in time for BG though. Thanks to Jerry's Gaskets, Marc Haibeck,Jim Voter and Pete!, I will have everything I need to install the drivetrain this weekend....finally.

Re: 88 ZR1 EX5023 Thread

The door handles and door glass are now in. We installed the hood and adjusted the front bumper today. Now, onto the sanding and buffing tomorrow. The headlights will go in tomorrow, also. I need to get this thing home and detalied before next Wednesday.

Pretty dusty but I just had to take some pics with the hood installed. I worked pretty hard to get the panel fitment right.

Brett , way to be man! That car came out fantastic! I'll bet your chest was really puffed out now!

Unless some one see the 'before' picts, they will have no clue as to what this road looked like when you started down it. Kudos man for a job well dunn!

Did Geoff have the build sheet that was in the frame? It would have the kick in after information on it.

He didn't have it. The original comsole looks exactly like the unbroken one I have in it now. My build sheet copies do not say when to kick it in.

Dunno????????

It was a great weekend at the NCM. I got to realize my goal of having my car on display with the exterior complete. The next time it enters the NCM, it will be under it's own power.

Brett,
EX5023 is absolutely outstanding. I still can't quite believe you were able to accomplish so much from so little in such a short period of time.

I so glad to have finally met you in person and am looking forward to seeing you again soon. Please let me know if I can help you with anything to finish up. I found the prototype alternator fan guard & will take a photo for you. If you want it, just say so.

Blue Flame Restorations 05-17-2011 07:56 AM

Re: 88 ZR1 EX5023 Thread

Thanks, Jerry. I'd love to have the guard and will paypal whatever the cost is.

I will be taking a small break from working on the car. I have other committments to tend to in the shop.

Parts still needed:

Heater hoses (I do have the thermostat housing)
AC lines (not critical to start the car)
Oil cooler lines
relays for fuel pump
Fuel tank
Fuel lines from tank to pump
02 sensors

 I told you Brett, you are one of us now! We help each other when we can. Besides they are used, no codes mind you but I just felt the age said change them out? They work so far as I know just fine. I'll dig them up and try to get them mailed out this weekend for you.

Update. The car does have prototype rear Goodyear 315's. They are from the run of the 25 wide bodies built along with EX5023. The have NOT FOR SALE molded into the sidewalls. Cool stuff. Have dated rear wheels now as well from the same batch of 25 cars built.

Car is officially for sale.
