Michelin PS2

I know there are other less expensive options out there but for those who are fans of Michelin PS2, they can be special ordered at Costco directly from Michelin. The Michelin MSPN part numbers are:

39119 for the 275/40R 17 (Costco item number 120948)
36717 for the 335/35R 17 (Costco item number 120930)

The cost for the front tires are $334.99 each and $376.99 each for the rears. Mounting, balance, nitrogen tire inflation, tire disposal fee and lifetime road hazard warranty (this is very worthwhile to have included) is an additional $15 per tire plus your local state tax if applicable. This month if you buy 4 Michelin tires at Costco you also get an additional $70 off.

The performance of the PS2 is far superior to the GS-D’s from last century’s design and compound performance.

Wow, thanks for the numbers. I have asked my local costco about these tires and they look at me like I am crazy. No clue what to order, or how to find the information. Thanks for the update.

I had the same problem. When I went to check on availability Costco said no longer in their system. I called Michelin directly and they provided me with the information needed so Costco could order.

I'm pretty sure the PS2 is actually an older design. The size we use is the OEM tire for the 1992 Viper.

That being said, handling reviews always favor the PS2, while wet weather reviews give the F1 slightly better ratings.

Might be an older design but does not bother me, I am driving a 27 year old car.
Also another consideration to buy at Costco besides price is they check the manufacture dates for each tire on arrival. If it is more than 2 years old they reject it. Tough to get this protection from buying online. Costs and time to return.....UGH

Absolutely still one of the best tires you can put on a Z.

They're also available at Tire Rack for about the same price. I just replaced some overdue BF Goodriches. The difference is night and day. I didn't even know it was possible to leave a stop-light without breaking loose. With the Michelins it's like I'm driving a different car.

Tires special ordered at Costco on Sunday 2/24 and shipped from Michelin on Monday 2/25. Delivered to Costco on 2/28. I just checked the date codes. The two front tires were manufactured 35th week of 2017. The rears were manufactured the 6th week of 2019...........they are still warm!!
