New to me 1991 ZR-1 #0041

I just wanted to say hello, and to say it's an honor to be a part of this community. I bought my first " beast " this past October, and it is just that! Aside from some cosmetic issues ( needs paint, radio wont work but lights up, and some drivee seat issues) the car runs smooth as silk. It is a pretty much original 1991, with 40,000 miles. 1 of 71 Polo greens with saddle interiors made, which i think is cool.....I was told the injectors were done by Haibeck, other than that I have no clue what the car has had done. As I said the LT5 in this car just sings, I've put almost 1000 miles on it. Never a stall, never a no start....even after running her VERY hard, let sit of about 10 minutes and fires right up. I was hoping someone knows this car? Maybe tell me what has been done to it? I see the previous 2 owners were both registry members.

Hello,
Nice ZR1! When i bought my ZR1 11 years ago, change all my fluids so I know where I stood, waxed & drove my ZR1. Have fun & drive yourZR1.

Thanks guys! I researched ZR-1's for over a year, and the ZR-1 Registry has become my car bible lol. I've been like a sponge, soaking up every post. I hope make it to the C4 gathering in May. As soon as the weather is better, a full fluid change is in the works. I thought the car had a chip installed, but I still have the 1-4th skip shift in place. I was told the car had the injectors replaced by Mark Haibeck, and as flawless as it runs, I think more has been done to the car. Would Mark know if I contacted him with my VIN#, could he tell me if he has done work to the car?

Beautiful and congrats.
I would think Marc would keep records.
Looks like the engine has been refinished.

Thank you sir! I thought that Mark would keep records also, gonna put in a call to him. And yes the engine has been refinished. I will post better pics, but it is a dark gray paint. Whoever did it, did an amazing job. The engine was one of the cleanest / strongest I looked at.

What can I say, we both have good taste haha!

And that's the plan. Every time I put the skinny pedal to the floor, the National Anthem plays out the exhaust:proud:
