Eureka Springs Corvette Weekend

Anyone planning to attend this year? It's a heckuva gathering that had a lot of ZR-1's in attendance when I was there in 2001-2002. Sherry and I made reservations yesterday and are looking forward to driving the great roads around there, again.

I bet it's pretty nice there in October.

I've got reservations for this year. I've been out of the scene for almost 3 years while my engine was being rebuilt. (A sad story for sure). I just got the car back and have been sorting out other issues but there's no doubt in my mind that we'll be able to make it back there this year. We started going on the 7th annual and have missed the drive and all the activities....

We still have reservations for the event but my wife Sherry has been very ill since last November and is now facing major surgery sometime this month.
Obviously, our attendance is kinda up in the air right now,Mike.

Sorry to hear about what you're both going through and best wishes that the surgery goes well and Sherry recovers quickly. We'll hope for the best for you and that we get to meet you this year.

We found out yesterday that Sherry will not have to have surgery so that's a blessing. So,our chances of being at Eureka Springs have increased considerably.
Ever driven the Pig Trail/Hwy23 before,Mike?

What great news Clint! Congrats to you both! We've been going to ESCW since the 7th annual and even before that I was riding the Trail/23 and loved it every time I played on it. Most commonly I go by the Trail of Tears Hwy and connect to 23 that way but always take it all the way to 40 on the way home. Scenic 71 is a great little road to take from 40 north from Alma. There are almost no bad roads in Arkansas....

I've always thought Arkansas roads were one of the best kept secrets out there. Driving Hwy23 and some of the other roads around Eureka in my former Callaway ZR-1 was pure heaven. Looking forward to doing it again in October.

Where are you located in SE OK,Mike? Sherry and I are originally from Walters,in SW OK near Lawton.

Like I said, I've been Vette-less for the last 3 years and I'm a little anxious because Eureka was where my ZR broke. I am looking forward to the drive there though.. I've always loved driving Ark. roads....
We live just north of Eufaula, near the lake. Though she never lived there, Dee's family all came from the Ft. Cobb area.
