Re: CAN'T PASS CALIF. SMOG, IDEAS/HELP!!!!

The referee thing is not all that bad. I was able to handle the whole transaction on the phone, except for the actual emission test. I am now able to run headers and high flow cats with the blessing...

Not a problem Steve. Confirmation is always a good thing. Hoping to more measurements on other 315s and 335s.

Re: Good grief, the tires

OK Steve. A buddy of mine has 315 Sumo's on stock 17 x 11 wheels and says they cause the tread area to be rounded causing less contact. Keep us posted what you find.

Re: Good grief, the tires

The ET = Extreme Performance
I was really surprised when I measured the 335 Michelin's and found out how skinny they were.
Thanks

Re: Good grief, the tires

I'm curious about contact patch width of the various tires. My 315 D3s measure a full 12 inches in contact with the ground, 335 PS2s only measured 11.25 inches. I have been thinking about the Nitto...

Did you end up with about 190K Ω to get the tach to track the scanner?

Re: Passed CA Emissions

I have read that thermo wrap on the headers would cause the metal to become brittle over time. Is there any truth to this? I thought about wrapping mine for several reasons.

Re: Best Gasoline for your Z

It's not the octane that hurts the cats, it's the lead, AV gas is LowLead not un leaded!

Re: Salt Flats 130 MPH club

I was just surprised that they eliminated ALL C4s, most C5 and C6s would also be left out. This is supposed to be an entry level street stock event. I don't think many will want to install a roll bar...
