Re: Code 61 with secondary system removed?

Here is the relevant code, from BFXB. BMCB same, but addresses are different in that due to code changes:

LD55D BRSET DIAGMW3;BIT0,LD5CF 1=MALF 61 ACTIVE (VAC TOO HIGH TO CLOSE PRT THR)

Re: Code 61 with secondary system removed?

I said several posts back that the ?fix? was correct. Scorp seemed to have a desire to learn more so I was just sharing what I have.

Re: Code 61 with secondary system removed?

I will post the relevant code section a little later. I have another GM document in hard copy form at home, which I can double check the conversion. Not with me at the moment though.

Re: Code 61 with secondary system removed?

GM gives the conversion as:

N = E * 2.70045 + 28.7640

N being the decimal value of the raw hex. In BFXB I see 0x55 hex, or 85 dec. for the first value. same for BMCB.

Re: Code 61 with secondary system removed?

Scorp, I'm not sure those conversion formulas are correct in that .xdf file. GM used a different transfer function for Vacuum/Baro than they do for MAP. I don't have access to my service manual...

Re: Code 61 with secondary system removed?

Btw, to default the valet key to full power in 91+, it requires a one byte change in the program (not a calibration variable). When the ecu initializes at startup, you have to clear a bit (or set...

Re: Code 61 with secondary system removed?

Dom, you have to change it in the program code (not the calibration). It?s an instruction change to open at or above zero tps. As stock the instruction is ?above? zero. Is it necessary? No. But...

Re: Code 61 with secondary system removed?

Scorp, if the light is on straight away then it?s likely already programmed to default to full power.

You should have a 1D table in your xdf file for port throttle open tps % versus rpm. That?s...

Re: Code 61 with secondary system removed?

Dom, if somebody wanted to run the second injectors at zero tps, that?s possible too. I think it?s just one branch instruction (from >, to >=). Not that there is a compelling need to do that, but...

Those are the voltages, just converted to kpa.

Re: Code 61 with secondary system removed?

I recommend not just turning the flags off but changing the voltage thresholds themselves also. There is a max vac for open and min for close, if I recall . I don?t have my notes right now though....

Re: Code 61 with secondary system removed?

scorp, those diagnostics are looking for min and max voltages at the port throttle vacuum sensor. They need to be changed if you have removed throttles and vac sensor.

Re: Is there a $F0 source/assembly file anywhere?

If I remember, the "ANHT" hac was more closely related to the LT5 code at the time. It almost seemed like the various operating code sections were pulled from a menu and inserted into whatever...

Re: Is there a $F0 source/assembly file anywhere?

Many many years ago I made a complete, fully commented disassembly of BFXB, and BMCB. Had the others partially complete but moved on to other things. Had full access to the source code to add,...

Re: CP big bore 427 CDI pistons

I recognize those. Those were ordered for the original big bore motor that AES did for me back in 2009. They messed it up and didn?t order the valve reliefs I specified. Therefore they had to...
