Re: Oil leak

Re: Oil leak

That would be unusual for sure.
There are two sources of leaks in that area, which are common.

1. Oil Pressure Switch. See the left side of the following photo. Remove the wiring connector &...

When it stayed running, was it running smooth?

Did it run very rough right before it died?

Check your battery...

Re: Trust the seat of your pants

Re: Oil leak

Re: Heater hose return fitting replacement

Try to remove the remaining bit still in the housing.
I have resolved problems like this by using a hacksaw blade to cut into the remaining band 2 or 3 places around. Then using a small chisel or...

Re: Timing chain popping after timing procedure

Normal occurance after timing cams AND after removing the manual chain tensioners.

As you rotate the cams via crankshaft, there comes a point where camshafts don't have very much tension from...

Re: Horsepower difference ?

Matt,
I don't think it's a common issue at all. As I understand catalyst reversion, it may occur when the engine is operating @ high rpm, throttle is closed and clutch is engaged. Think in terms of...

Re: Horsepower difference ?

That's because...... IF & When it does......... it Really is!
Referred to as catalyst reversion. Occurs during engine de-celleration, i.e. lifting throttle with clutch engaged at high rpm.

All...

Re: Limits of stock LT5 with boost?

Any build for more than 5psi boost is going to mean different rods & pistons.

More displacement means a new crankshaft.

You might find it simpler to just say how much money you have to spend...
