This is a 2 year old thread. The end result was bought a new control module/resistor as per Scorp508 link to EBay site. Put it in, 2 minute job, and problem solved.

Thanks Steve for that. I sort of dismissed the fuel pump scenario due to the fact that it was running fine, prior to pulling the cam position sensor out to replace worn O ring.

That ?wonder if ? thought ran through my mind as l was typing in the last post. You are probably correct that the extra power/amps of the new battery is just a temp. fix until l repair the starter.

UPDATE: Knowing that the clutch switch wasn?t the culprit ( bypassed ) and the wiring in of the auxiliary relay didn?t help, l decided to throw in a new battery, as l didn?t know the age of the one...
