When it stayed running, was it running smooth?
Did it run very rough right before it died?

Try to remove the remaining bit still in the housing.
I have resolved problems like this by using a hacksaw blade to cut into the remaining band 2 or 3 places around. Then using a small chisel or...

Re: Horsepower difference ?
Matt,
I don't think it's a common issue at all. As I understand catalyst reversion, it may occur when the engine is operating @ high rpm, throttle is closed and clutch is engaged. Think in terms of...

1990 Model the purge solenoid is not under the plenum.
I am not sure exactly where it is but I think it may be on the front of the driver-side wheel well. Hopefully, someone with better...

Re: Limits of stock LT5 with boost?
Any build for more than 5psi boost is going to mean different rods & pistons.
More displacement means a new crankshaft.
You might find it simpler to just say how much money you have to spend...

Agree with Crabs.
Head Gaskets have been the first point of failure. The most resistant head gasket would be the Cometic MLS. Lingenfelter machined receiver grooves in the cylinder head, for the...
