Sorry, I never did manage to track him down. I ended up doing my own porting on the 92. Came out great! Increased HP at the wheel by about 35HP!

That perception that the cars are difficult to work on is correct and some engine/drive train parts are not just hard to find...in some cases simply don't exist anymore.

Yes, that is the CAM sensor. The sensor is round with a tab to capture the bolt and aluminum shield. Once the bolt is removed, the sensor must be carefully pulled out. Twisting it gently can help. ...

Repaired the crack with JB weld for plastic. Used a Dremel to plow a small groove along the crack to give it more bite and roughed up with 180 sand paper. Use silicone around the o-ring...

Update: Sensor is cracked. Starts on top and travels down the side. I think it stops just short of the seal. There is mold seam there as well which makes it harder to verify where the crack stops...

I found a thread back in 2017 where you found a sensor that would work for 1990 ZR1s and modified it to fit. Are still making these for people willing to pay? I don't need one at the moment...
