Re: Antenna Issue After Pulling Radio Fuse

Well I started with the simple solution....unhooking the battery. The antenna didn't go down and I heard the relay clicking. When I opened the door, the radio was making a slight buzz as well....

Antenna Issue After Pulling Radio Fuse

The ZR-1 recently shut off on me while driving. I found the 10 amp primary fuel pump fuse blown so I swapped the 10 amp radio fuse and it fired back up. Not wanting to risk anything, I installed the...

Re: Oil Analysis - Driven GP-1

That was the number I had in mind. The "Modern Motor Oil and the LT5 Engine" article by Haibeck said the old Mobil 1 High Mileage was acceptable at 1100. I'm okay with the 1192 results. I didn't go...

Oil Analysis - Driven GP-1

The first 2 oil changes I did on my ZR-1 were with Mobil 1 high mileage. I knew the ZDDP content of the oil wasn't what it used to be, so I started looking for an alternative. I spoke with Driven...

Re: Best fitment on 18 inch wheels

You'll have essentially the same backspacing as my wheels:

11.5" section width = 12.5" total width (6.25" to centerline)
41 mm offset /25.4 (metric conversion) = 1.61"
6.25" + 1.61" = 7.86"...

Re: Best fitment on 18 inch wheels

I went 18 x 11.5" with a +41 offset in the rear. The outside lip of the wheel is dead-on with the center line of the car and the sidewall is just inside the center molding. The inner lip of the wheel...

Re: INF Reset

Sorry to dig up and old thread, but I'm having difficulty resetting a code 16. Yesterday I cleaned the sensor mounting tabs & bottom sides of the screws with 1000 grit sand paper, ran the screws...

Re: Ideal size for aftermarket wheels?

I had a set of BC Forged wheels made last year. Very happy with the end product. Tire availability is what dictated the size for me. I wanted 18" front and rear, but ended up staying with 17" up...

Re: Haibeck Automotive or Evolution Motorsports

Another great endorsement!

That would save a lot of money, but I'm not sure I want to drive to Chicago.

Haibeck Automotive or Evolution Motorsports

I'm considering having the top end ported / refinished, installing a RideTech coilover kit, and repairing a few misc items I don't feel like messing with. I've bought a few items from Marc in the...

Re: Ridetech Coilover Suspension System

I've been considering the Ridetech coilover conversion since last year. I emailed them the same general question of "I'm looking to modernize/upgrade the suspension, but it will never see track...

Re: BC Forged Wheels Purchased

Thank You. I was considering the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S when I was thinking about doing 18" all around or an 18/19" setup. Unfortunately, the widest 18" was only a 295 and I thought a 19" wheel...

Re: BC Forged Wheels Purchased

The combination of the weight savings & better tires made a noticeable difference in handling and ride quality.

Re: ZR-1 Friendly Jack and Ramps?

Just took some quick measurements. I measure the floor pan 1" lower than the pinch welds. The thicker Quickjack blocks only sit 1 5/8" above their pocket on the jack frame. Between the general flex...

Re: ZR-1 Friendly Jack and Ramps?

I have QuickJack's as well. With the larger of the supplied blocks, the frame of the jacks nearly touches the floorboards...like a sheet of paper clearance. The pinch weld blocks would make things...

Re: Black 1990 ZR-1 on BaT

Thank you. It's been a lot of effort getting it & keeping it that way. I will never own another black car...lol.

Re: Black 1990 ZR-1 on BaT

How black paint should look...like a mirror. One commenter said there where just 71 black ZR-1's with red interiors for 1990. Is that correct? I haven't seen many photos of others.

Re: BC Forged Wheels Purchased

Thank you all for the compliments. The FM5 is one of my favorite wheels (for any car). However, there are so many of them out there and I wanted something a little different. I also wanted a concave...

Re: BC Forged Wheels Purchased

Wheels are on the car! The fronts came in at 43.8 lbs compared to 51.8 lbs for the old setup. With a total 26.8 lbs unsprung weight off the car I cannot weight to see how it drives. I only did a loop...

Re: BC Forged Wheels Purchased

I test fit the LR wheel earlier this week. There was around 1" clearance to the brake line with the suspension sagging and the gap would increase slightly with the car on the ground. Continental...
