Re: Element Fire Extinguisher/Paypal

I had just been looking at these so when I saw the deal I ordered one for each car.
Once you get to the Paypal screen there's an option to pay with credit card... but I think you have to have a...

Re: Coilovers and Suspension Parts FS

I'm only willing to ship U.S., I've tried shipping stuff internationally before and its just more trouble than I want to deal with.

Re: Coolant leak at quick connect repair tips please

I was just thinking about this. I don't currently have a leak but those hoses are 30 years old and I'm in the process of redoing my radiator set-up so it crossed my mind that maybe this would be the...

Re: Injector Housing Bolts

I don't see a torque sequence specified for the injector housings in my FSM, just says tighten to 20 ft lbs. I think just starting in the middle and working to the edges is the prudent method.

Re: Interesting aftermarket PCV

The two things that jumped out at me were:
The dual mode function of this unit which resembles the LT-5 dual but different valve set-up.
The tunability of both modes which would seem to lend...

Interesting aftermarket PCV

I ran across this recently when doing a little research on crankcase ventilation. Wonder if this might be a viable option especially given that the one factory PCV valve seems to be unobtainium...

Re: Which coil pack do you have?

I'm not positive but I want to say about 4 years, it may have been less. It was a very long time ago

Re: Which coil pack do you have?

I had Screamin Demon coils many years ago, one failed on a track day and then some time later I noticed they were all cracking. Hope you have better luck than I did.

Re: Which coil pack do you have?

Yeah its really frustrating, so many once high quality, trusted brands are outsourcing production and the result is cheap junk. Moog is another example I've heard of people having issues with. I'll...

Re: Which coil pack do you have?

Well ****.... I've got two MSD coils that are OHMing OL, I replaced another MSD coil just a couple years ago that had some seriously burnt looking terminals. I'm done with MSD ugh.

Re: So... this was in my oil drain pan...

Thanks for the pics. Yeah Marc just further confirmed the cam plugs as 1/8 NPT and apparently the only 1/4 NPT plugs in the head are the ones up by the cam chains where there is not really a feasible...

Re: So... this was in my oil drain pan...

I was just talking to Petey and he also says the cam plugs are 1/8 NPT

Mark told me he removed the windage tray and cleaned the pan so it wasn't sitting in there.

There doesn't seem to be a...

Re: So... this was in my oil drain pan...

Ah thanks Cliff, so the cam plugs are 1/8 NPT... are we sure that applies to all years? Mine is a 91. If its not a cam plug then perhaps one of those head plugs up by the cam chains? Something else...

Re: So... this was in my oil drain pan...

Thanks Jerry! This is sounding like a very feasible scenario. The cams are stock. Sounds like there are differing opinions on the size of the plugs though? Can we get a consensus on the size of the...

Re: So... this was in my oil drain pan...

It does match those dimensions and it is NPT, it screwed right into the back of one of my air tools... although its path into the bottom of the oil pan remains a head scratcher. If it is a camshaft...

Re: So... this was in my oil drain pan...

Yeah its a 368 with a stock crank shaft so the plugs should be stock. I can't think of a scenario where LPE would put a smaller plug in as that would require the plug to be installed in a bushing...

Re: So... this was in my oil drain pan...

Got a package from Jerry today... and welp... its not a crank plug. The plug I found in the drain pan is .525 across the threads and the new crankshaft plug I got from Jerry is about .662 across the...

Re: Are These the Correct LEDs?

The box says A0102, they are a little difficult to track down, I think I found them on Amazon. I thought I did a write up on them here but perhaps not, I do have a write up with pics on Facebook...

Re: Are These the Correct LEDs?

I tried those briefly but wasn't super impressed with the light output. I'm running the Genessi 7x6 and I'm really happy with them, they are closer to $200 for the pair though. And yes the Jeep XJ...

Re: So... this was in my oil drain pan...

I think it being just a sensor issue is unlikely as the drop in oil pressure corresponded with a rise in oil temperature.

Re: So... this was in my oil drain pan...

It's possible it came from a head... or somewhere else... although its path into the oil pan below the windage tray remains in question.

Re: So... this was in my oil drain pan...

No drill hole in the plug. The plug measures .525 across the threads, and Mark Haibeck is telling me that nothing bigger than about .25 can get through the oil pan windage tray to the bottom of the...
