That is orange metallic,at the time I saw both a coupe and convertible in this color there was a GM zone office in Fremont so the car must of had a connection to that. There is no mistaking the this...

I should have clarified base cars. Back in the late 80s I saw both a coupe and convertible in the bright orange metallic and a pearl white coupe.
