1) I wouldn't think so. The 90-92 resonator is considerably narrower than the 93+ one.

2) The resonator isn't 3" tubes and it wasn't a big restriction, so I'm not sure that's the only conclusion...

Sweet! The video seems to crap out less than halfway through for me, though (even saved it locally).

Is it sort of loud? It kind of seemed like it by the relative lack of any other noise, road...

The L98 was the next year. '84 was the Crossfire which I believe was the L83? (or L82?). :)

I had Flowmasters on my '87 L98, along with a front Y that removed the pre-cats. It was pretty loud...

Jeff had/has a video of his car, but I always had a hell of a time playing it. It's like a 120MB .avi file that is only about 20 seconds long. My comp would stutter like mad. So I extracted the audio...

To me, Corsa has that slightly high-pitched racing-motor sound. I'm not sure if it's what I want on my car, I like the mellower lower notes a little, but listen to some of the clips and videos...
