Re: Storing

Yes. My garage is part of the house, insulated and sealed and it has never had a mouse and never gets over 80 in the summer or under 60 in the winter with the furnace and gas hot water heater in...

I've gotten busy with camper and being given a second but champion young male Borzoi dog from a top Louisiana breeder because I was doing such a good job with my 25 month old female Borzoi, Princess...

c7 showed up

Saw and followed my first C7 today locally. I liked the roof line but it looks smaller to me and watching the owner get in there is no way that I would fit so it's a complete moot point. The dealer...

Re: "drive the hell out of it"

On my 70th birthday this year I ran it up to 145 mph on a straight road with no cross streets out in the country and had some more in fourth but thought that was enough for the moment. I never get...

Re: Speed at WOT ?

Watching the videos it seems to me that the speed each gear runs up to 7-8000 rpms is faster than a 3:45 rear end. I relate since I also have a 2008 TBSS with LS2 that came from GM Performance group...

Re: Contemplating a ZR1 Purchase

I'm 6'4" tall with a 33" leg inseam so about balanced. I love my 91 Z but I always drive it only on nice days with the targas out as my head hits the targas when in and I end up slightly tilted to...

Re: Almost ZR-1 :-)

The Bugatti is powerful and fast in a straight line but the McLaren F1 or the later one are so much better road racing cars it isn't even close. They are among the most balanced, powerful road...

Re: The Phoenix!

Looks pretty good, Paul. With a rig like that the skill of those operating it to straighten it, even with the "mallet thumping" is paramount. Looking good. Will you just paint the hood or the...

Re: Thank Goodness for Corvettes!

Blownrunner...I believe after days in the shop trying to duplicate it that there was something on the little metal piece on the key that changed the resistance and it was 100% the vats system. I did...

Re: "I hate your car" is what she said...

Does she have DOHC? Can she go zero to 60 pretty quickly? Is she seriously jealous of a car? There are a lot of key questions to inquire about when a female starts that line of discussion which...

Re: Thank Goodness for Corvettes!

Just fyi....got my tbss awd with the 2008 ls2 and 4:10 rear end in it back today. They scrambled around the USA and found the front part to the forward drive shaft whose splines failed and replaced...

Re: Thank Goodness for Corvettes!

I don't know if the solenoid clicks as I don't remember and the car is in the shop to troubleshoot it. The battery is of uncertain vintage and I want a new one so I know its provenance going...

Re: endurance record

Instead of the Cannonball why not do the Big Bend Open in Texas? That looks like a lot of fun where you can run your Z two ways about 55 miles each way at a speed time trial selecting the speed you...

Re: Thank Goodness for Corvettes!

Nelson, et al, I called the shop who has it to put the battery in and trouble shoot. They can't get it to fail as I have only had two instances in a year and both in the last two months. It may be...

Re: Thank Goodness for Corvettes!

I sure am happy to have the Vettes. Nothing like the Z. Funny thing when it has happened, when it won't start when you turn the key during the period when it does not the gauge on the dash shows...

Thank Goodness for Corvettes!

I never thought I'd say this but today it's true: I'm down to my last Corvette!

The guy at the shop when I pulled in driving my 76 which I had not started in a year since my 91 ZR-1 showed up in...
