I'm really fighting an urge to cry BS!! I mean, why so high? Are these items tagged with import costs - is the reason?
I'd like to know why e.g., Dexcool or "the green stuff" wouldn't work as well. What is the chemical comp of their hydraulic fluid making locally obtained stuff unusable for those cars? Far as hoses go, I'd be looking through the domestic hoses for one that could be made to work (e.g., the
Dodge Neon hoses used under the LT5 plenum)
Those kind of repair costs are no doubt the reason for the huge depreciation - or at least part of it.
