So with the weather in southern Illinois being a crazy 75 degree's here Saturday, it was time to stretch some LT5 legs......after fixing my seat issue, the seat back actuator was seized. Replaced it, all good now. So after 30 minute warm up, shut down to check all fluids, all good in the hood. Then decided to take the top off, something I DIDNT do when I bought the car. After some muscle loosening the bolts, took off and stored it in the back. All weather stripping looked great as well. I had heard nightmarish stories of how all C4s rattle and shake with no top. But I'm here too say, I didn't experience any new rattles, or noticeable body flex. I was shocked!! For being a very early production car, I thought it would be a given. I ended up just cruising around, and ran into a gaggle of C4 owners out cruising in a pack of about 6 corvettes, all C4s
. I was the only ZR-1, and they were all about my car, asking more questions then I could keep up with lol.....the guy who owns JS Corvette here, said he was going to buy my Z, but I beat a local Vette specialist to the punch!! It was s great weekend shared with fellow C4 lovers.....
