Usually the plastic tabs on the sensors where the band attaches to it is where the failure occurs.
Repairs are not easy or long lasting as the the plastic is hard and brittle.
I favor removing them entirely.
If one lets go at high speed, you will clench tightly.
Save yourself the drama and risk.
Remove them.
Add any current day aftermarket ones that screw on the valve stem and communicate with your phone.
The stock ones were good in the day, but only tell you low pressure, but not which tire like the newer ones do.
