Default Fuel pump question

First off, I posted in classifieds, but anybody got fuel pump (primary) sitting around they'd be willing to part with? Apparently my main pump is getting tired (has stranded me twice now within the last few month when driven for a decent amount of time (45 min +)).

Now to the main question. I've pulled the pin C21 to run both pumps full time for now, but need to replace the failing one. And yeah, I've read Marc's article on converting to a single pump, but I kind of like the idea of having a dual pump design in case one fails. Can anyone think of a negative to just leaving pin C21 disconnected permanently so both pumps always run? I can't see any negatives other than more wear/tear on the 2nd pump, but given the little I drive the car (<3,000 miles a year) it shouldn't matter.

Can't find the E4230, but if the Oreilly unit is a stock replacement that will work.

You can get real Delco ones on Rock Auto. I just installed a pair of them.

I have two new Airitex pumps I installed for a week, took them out and replaced them due to an issue that ended up not being fuel pump related. You pay the shipping and you can have them both. They were bought new March 2020.
