Gathering Info
My son and I are attending the Gathering for the first time. We are planning a tour, go-carts and touring laps. Are there any details that we need to pay attention to? Car prep etc... Are helmets needed for the touring laps? I am sure we will take part in other activities, but being new these are what we registered for. I will be nice to meet more of the forum members and put faces to the names.

Hi Mr Blue . You will not require helmets for the touring laps . I would say , good tires , good brakes , recent brake fluid change , does your hand brake function and of course check all fluids and make sure there are no fluids leaking from your vehicle . You can increase your tires pressures a little if you want but regular street pressures will be fine as were not racing , just touring the track and following a lead vehicle . .

They will probably have disposable head/hair caps to wear as I have seen at other kart rental places
