Default Broght my new Z home today!

Yesterday morning I flew to Denver and picked up my new car. Drove almost 1000 miles back to Dallas and got back today. It was quite the adventure! I got a great deal on the car (13K), because it has a few issues such as a bad misfire.

I took 16 new FIC injectors with me and installed them before hitting the road home. the injectors made a big improvement but it still has a misfire to figure out. I also have to figure out what color it is! The car has had a color change but was done extremely well. The car is in overall good shape but there is plenty to keep me busy for a while as I try to perfect it. When I picked it up it had 41,808 miles. I bought the car from the second owner who only put a couple of hundred miles on it before storing it in a barn. The car is originally from Washington State.

The good:

Excellent paint but not original color. I love this gray though
Trans shifts great
clutch
Near new tires
Wheels
Brakes
B&B 3" exhaust
cool later model side vents
all glass is absolutely perfect
most all electronics work accept what is listed below

The bad/to be fixed:
wrong badges on nose and tail
missing the radio
electric seats move with some help
a/c doesn't get cold
drivers side of center console separating from the top plastic trim
misfire when under load
secondary's don't open, vacuum pump runs continuously
plenum was painted yellow then black... a lot of stripping to do.
some of the rubber seals need attention
cruise control doesn't work
intermitant wipers don't work but wipers work otherwise
arm rest latch broken.
missing piece of trim on the targa top where it unbolts on drivers side

Feel free to offer any advice on the issues. Thank you!

That gray is badass. I can imagine the car in a Cyber Gray like the C6-7 cars. They would look awesome. Nice car! Don't change the color.

Fix the vacuum leak. You may fix the misfire along w it.

I am planning on that as a first priority, but am also thinking of getting rid of the secondary's. I am still learning these engines, but I thought running the car in the "normal" position kept them from opening? and wouldn't cause the misfire???

A vacuum leak is a vacuum leak. Keeping the secondaries "closed" doesn't seal it.

Thanks, thought maybe it was on its own sealed system. I did inspect the vacuum lines when I had the plenum off and everything looked good. There was a two wire connector near the center under the plenum that wasn't connected to anything and there was nothing for it to connect to. Any idea what this is?

Yeah I LOVE the color! Don't change it!
If someone put a "chip" in the car, (like a Haibeck chip) the power key defaults to the "full power" position. That said - you have a leak if the pump runs full time.
The seats are very easy to remove - there is a u shaped wire on the bottom front of the seat cushion that you push to get it out of the slot that holds it - and bottom cushion comes right out. Four bolts and a couple connectors and they are out. Make sure to lubricate all movement points.
I had the A/C on mine changed over to R-134. See if yours already has been switched. Doing this fixed mine (which didn't work before I had it changed)
Sounds like you have quite the project! Good Luck!
