Default Corvette Pecking Order

Im trying to learn about 'vettes.

Can someone give me a rundown on the Hierarchy of modern vettes. I hear so many acronyms but dont know where they all fit in.

C6, ZO6, ZR-1 ......

Hello, and welcome to the forum.

By "hierarchy", do mean which is faster, more collectible, more sought after, what

For most of us here, we prefer our C4 ZR-1's over the C5 Z06's. The new C6 is interesting, and it's version of the Z06 is much anticipated, but we will have to wait and see what it is really like.

I guess i mean performance wise. Horsepower, meanest & baddest.

Everyone has their own opinion, but if we are talking stock, the Z06 is a bit faster in the 1/4 mile, but the ZR-1 has the fastest top end. A few simple mods will have you beating a stock Z06 in the 1/4 mile, and there is nothing like the sound of an LT5 at WOT.
I really can't comment on the C6, but rumor has the new Z06 having 500HP or so.

To most of us here, the ZR-1 is certainly the best choice among these great cars.

No, a total of 6,939 were built from 1990 to 1995.
