Not to quibble about it, but I've often wondered why Lane would make such a big point about, "no nitrous", "no automatic", and "no supercharger", when behind that LT-5 there is nothing made by Chevrolet in that drivetrain.
Its all about the motor. He ran a Motech. He taught Lingenfelter what could be done to a LT-5. A legend in his time. Like all of us old guys he just ran out of umphh.

BTW, that's my video of the inside of the car at speed. The only existing inside shot of the car in action, that I know of.

That is a great vid -- one of my fav's == I watch it all the time for kicks!

Kudos to you for thinking to make it Bob.

Ted, is this the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHuhnXVsyG0 ?
I've always wanted to do this. Check my pulse before, during and after watching this. This time I did it. I set the vid to run on the big scree with big sound.
before clicking= 64,
during burn-out and just before launch = 90,
after shoot = 88
What a ride !
I'm pretty sure the neighbors hear it too
