Default C5/6 ceramic brake pads

Any of you NoVA guys that have C5/6 front calipers want a set of barely used Baer "Sport Touring" ceramic pads for free? They are really low dust. Just don't drag race with them...

Because they suck for that sort of use. I am not using them now because the first time I hit the dragstrip with them, braking from ~115mph was downright scary. The pads couldn't take the heat by about 80mph, and provided hardly any braking force after that.

Interestingly, racing with the power key off, hauling from 95mph down to about 10mph, they felt great, no fade.

I replaced them with Hawk HPS pads. I did a quick 110mph haul-down on the street, they felt much better. I'll have to see how they do at the strip though.

Bob,

I have the HPS pads for my C5 brakes thx to JeffVette. They work very well at the strip. I did bed them as per instructions.
