Default Tachometer reads too high

Anybody knows where the problem lies? GM manual suggests bad ground or open in the DIM circuit.

If it's reading 1000 RPM's higher, that's pretty typical for a 1990 Model, which i presume you own as these are prone to this issue.

Only fix is to replace the Tach in the cluster.
