I bought some R-D Racing items awhile back including (I think) the aluminum gas pedal replacement part. I never installed it. If I can find it & someone needs/wants it let me know.

emvette,

Thanks for sharing and greatly appreciated. I did not mess around and ordered one from the source you recommended for my 95Z. Bill Sheffer responded right away and I'm good to go. I remember over 10 years ago replacing this part on the 90Z that I had and sold with an aluminum piece from someone else. I want piece of mind for $75 and no question here. Thanks again. Craig

Great that a new source was found. I just ordered mine from Unique Cutting and Metal Works after talking with Bill. His designs are independent from the previous source. His kits include the pivot mount, spacers to properly space the mount from the firewall (just as the plastic pivot does), pivot pin, and cotter key. He water jet cuts the two pieces, welds them together and final machines them.

I'm also tinkering with the pedal pivot and pedal face as I find it difficult to heal-toe and uncomfortable to hold at full throttle for extended periods (30 minute sessions on track) compared to my non-Corvette track car.

While I've never heard of anyone breaking one for years, it's a part that commonly breaks on the C4s at the track - as Tripler stated, especially when you heel-toe. I carry a spare, along with wheel bearings / alternator / ECM....

TNova - keep us posted!

I heard from Joe your engine swap is almost complete on the Challenge car. Short block is done on my car, waiting for GVD top end work to be complete. Putting urethane bushings in now, DRM and VBP locators and links, lowering kit, and bump steer tie rod ends. I'll have Delta Vee rebuild/revalve the shocks. Visa no longer questions my orders from Jerry's!

Enjoy Carlisle.

ordered mine. I had the R-D one and it wouldn't fit right on my 93 which was why I never had it on. there were issues with the shims and the pin. Will try and dig it up. There was a post on facebook about a month back about these from Bill which is what had me thinking about it. Glad the topic came up thank you !
