So Pete you are right about the weight is about same as 4l80.
I believe the 4L80E weights 230lbs including torque converter dry......the ZF s6-650 you posted up is a truck trans, but the ZF s6-40 that comes in at 170 pounds dry is lighter. I think the monster flywheel used for the 4l80e coversion is about the same as a fidenza aluminum piece......should of weighed it when it was out...oh well.

So you're saying a dry ZF for our car weighs 170 dry and takes almost sixty pounds of fluid to make the two close in weight.....lol!

170 dry. without flyweel and clutch.
PETE's 39 lbs flywheel, plus the clutch pressure plate,say ~15 lbs .
total = 224 lbs. DRY!!
now, 2.2 Quarts weight?? this is your job, you weigh it!

Don't forget the flywheel in the auto is 36 pounds...compu shift computer and a heavy *** automatic shifter, billet c-beam to trans. bracket, tranny cooler and lines.

Let me know how your auto conversion goes....lol!
