Have seen it with my own 2 eyes, magnesium wheels burn and are not easily extinguished.

I most be the only guy here that is not a fan of dymags. They look ok but thats about it for me. To the OP please keep in mind the refinishing cost on these I assume at the ole wheel shoppe ? I think that would drive my decision as well before I would lay down more than 2k for a set of wheels that need to be refinished. Unless $3 to 3.5 K is a bargain?

Special equipment or buried in sand....but they are not uncommon, aircraft, C5 corvette had them also....and a lot of engine parts are magnesium and shops weld on them all the time. I had mine refinished by a local PC shop and no issues years ago.....and their shop didn't burn down

I painted the set of my gen IIs for $50 and powedercoated my Gen Is for $150...lol

You can do a conversion coating on these with this....although google mag wheels on ebay....there are some ancient sets of old mag wheels off dragsters stil in great shape

I'm a cheap bastard......
I paid... $390 for my Gen IIS $570 for 10 dymags.....that was the shipping cost $900 for a set of unused challenge dymags and a 17X11 $500 for a set of 16" dymags
