Default front end noise

hey all,
still having a noise in front end of Z. Replaced brake pads and also thought it could be shock since I saw wear marks on them. Replaced those too.
2 questions:
1. service ride light still on after replacing shocks
2. any ideas on front end noise. Im thinking sticking brake calipers. If it is any websites to get them from for good price and excellent quality?

thanks in advance

1. when does it happen? (at idle, braking, turning, etc)
2. when does it not happen ( idle, braking, turning, etc)
3. can you record it ?
4. are any codes being set? (FX3)

Check your hood. It may not be hitting the rubber stops. It will sound like a broken shock. Just may need to be realigned

Did you put the anti-rattle clips back on the brake pads?

For the noise it's certainly the first thing to confirm!

Shock replacement I'd think will require the system be "reset" clearing all codes. A - C in the ALDL 3 times but I've never needed to do this, "scottfab" has a sequencing procedure he mentions works. He'll be back, I'm sure!

If you're interested I believe I've one set of the NOS GS Z16/CE Z15 "black" calipers available.

I am still wondering (if it isn't the hood bumpers or brake pads) if the noise is constant through out the drive. If the shock and/or actuators are acting up there should be a DIC light, unless of course the bulb is burned out.
Anyway, once the FX3 actuator problems are fixed (assuming that is it) then the errors will self clear.

OP - indicates the light is "ON"! Bulb I'd guess is fine.

If everything is "functioning" - during the "key-on/self-test" if all four don't rotate and then park I believe the light comes on and stays on, I believe also that if there's maybe three key cycles and the car is not driven for a reasonable distance at a minimum speed the light will come on and stay on until driven and even though in theory if everything is operational there should be no light there wouldn't be a clearing procedure for it.

I believe this is "scottfab" previous comments regarding reset/clearing:

Wheel bearing? Is it a rattle, banging, whirring noise?

Sway bar bushing or loose end link?

Is it a clatter, a clunk, a rattle, can you feel anything in the wheel, brake pedal, seat of the pants etc.

Need more information - straight ahead, when turning, under accel/decel, etc. If you coast and let the wheel float, does it pull to one side?
