Default To buy or not to buy

That is the question. So IÂ’m really leaning towards buying this 91 #00056. But IÂ’m on the fence Just need a little push one way or the other. I currently have 89 l98 6 speed manual. With 71,000 miles on it The 91 ZR one has 59,000 miles everything seems to work as far away as radio Ac mirrors sport seats the antenna donÂ’t go down all the way stays up about an inch but thatÂ’s no big deal it has some minor damage on the front passenger corner I didnÂ’t really hear the secondary pump kicking on. The owner Bought the car at auction and has replaced the battery and alternator and says he has replace the injectors. DonÂ’t know with what kind but will find out. Car fax is supposed to be clean but will ask to see that too. So just looking for advice on what else to look for Full power light comes on with key the guy said he also replaced two small computers beside the battery under the ECM I donÂ’t know what they are iÂ’ll have around 13,000 after taxes and everything It seems I cannot post pics or I would thanks in advance for any advice

Check radiator fluid to see if it is clean/green. Does it idle smooth. If paint and interior are good too it sounds like a steal.

Sounds like a smoking deal, even if there are other things wrong.
If it runs, and the body is in decent shape (rear panels can be a problem as they are wider than normal C4's), everything else can be fixed. $13K, go for it.

It seemed the surgeon little while in idle didn’t really notice it after it warmed up could be a vacuum leak. Small amount of damage on the front trying to post pics but can’t seem to

I am relatively new to the ZR-1 but did a lot of looking when searching for mine. That sounds like a great deal you are looking at.

Congratulations you'll be glad you bought it at that price. The Per-Ma-Grin is on the way.

Good Luck

Congratulations! Welcome to the asylum... Given that it needs some work are you planning to do it yourself of find a shop to do it? You’ll save a bundle if you do the work yourself. You came to the right place. Any issue with the car can be addressed by the group of owners here. Post some Pix when you get a chance.

Thanks I’ll do all the work except for paint and body I’ll leave that to the pros but everything looks good the paint probably a nine except for the slight damage on the hood front driver side. I have an 89 Z51 six speed now I’m previously had an 86 automatic that I give to my son but I do all my homework except rebuilding automatic transmissions and things like thatI will post some pics soon
