Default LT-5 Emblems

Here's an interesting piece of history from a seller of these emblems who says he worked on the Corvette program in 1988 and the Eng. change to cancel the LT5 emblems in favor of the ZR-1 emblems.

Would love to have a set.

There were both.. GM made them as pictured, but there was a guy that made reproductions probably close to 10 years ago now

True. I think the ebayers claim of "prototype" and $600 asking price is ridiculous and borders fake news lol

The LT-5 Emblems that match the C-4 ZR-1 Bumper Emblems were not GM products.

Although they were available in most C-4 colors they were privately made reproductions.

I actually still have my Ruby one that I purchased.
They look great and match the ZR-1 in size, style and font.
The only real difference is they had no locating pins on the back.

I do not know who actually produced them, but am 99.44% certain that it was not General Motors, nor one of their reproduction affiliates.

Well the pic I posted on that card has the GM stamp on it? Maybe gm endorsed?

well considering there are 6 emblems and that many ZR-1 emblems are around $70 on eBay.. the $600 is not too far off

as for the Prototype claim, it could be true as early cars (pre-production) had the LT5 badge

At $100 a piece to rich for my blood... I think he may have better luck selling them individually to allow people to match their individual car colors..... but what do I know.
