Default New C7 Encounter

I just saw my first C7 ZO6 Convertible today. Going up US1 in Juno Beach. It was yellow, black top and trim, and had Wisconsin temp tags.
The guy was friendly and grinning from ear to ear. We had a short conversation at a light, and WAaaaaah... he was gone. (Loud?..I could hear that thing 2 blocks away!)

I'm not a big fan of yellow but that car was wicked cool

Oh, that Z06 is just nuts. Actually, if you watch the episode that Jay Leno did on Jay's Garage, you'll notice there are many parallels between the new Z06 and our ZR-1's. Low center of gravity. Engine required to fit under the hood without protrusion. Increased body width (by identical ratio to our car). Listen to a bit about the development and you'll be quickly reminded of the KOTH project that birthed our cars.

No way,..... One shows R.E.S.P.E.C.T. for the big doggie. Especially when you're driving your wife's 335i.

Even the fastest C4 ZR-1's would have their hands full tangling with 650hp.

But as fabulous as that car is, I would feel a little self conscious driving one. I like to keep a slightly lower profile, (like in a C4 ZR-1). Just getting old I guess.

I'm guessing he'd have HIS hands full tangling with Frank's lil' ol' 441 LT5 - at least in a straight line.

Yup, true. But at that level, who's driving becomes more and more important.

I have a feeling that most of these monsters won't see the tens until the second or third owner.

Guess who just got a new Z06? Not me, unfortunately, but someone we all know: Mom. That's right, Dave Bright just got one but it is stuck in his garage until Spring (which usually begins in August in New Hampshire). As he was in the beginning, he is again an inspiration to us all! -Bob

I still want to see the rest of these other "fast cars" on the track taking curves w the Z06. I believe they'd be left in the dust. The Z, like our cars before it, is not a 1/4mile funny car.
