I saw that front end loader come in a minute ago, and go out...

ok - they covered the corner of the Spyder with a tarp or something, and now they're dumping in dirt to fill the corner holes, after the 1mil car almost went down in one corner?????????

Why not re-locate some of the dirt in there NOW, to the corner holes, and uncover the other 3 cars in the process?

Ya have to wonder if there are more voids back in and under the remaining concrete. Scary thought. And what of the remaining structures, parking lot, etc ?

They said on Facebook today they put a heavy tarp over the Spyder and then added a bunch of sand around it - to act as a "pillow" to protect it while they remove all the hanging and compromised concrete and shore up the walls. Guess they figure some of that will inevitably fall in there and didn't want to take any chances.
I get all this from the NCM Facebook site. "Like" it and you will see all of it and good pics as well. I guess if Ya'All aren't on FB I will just keep posting the updates...

Sand. Good call. Lower angle of repose (dirty laundry stacked carefully in dorm room corner = HIGHEST AOR ).

I see the usual group of white hats standing around looking into the hole this morning.

I think a 3rd cam would be better served over the hole, OPPOSITE the support column...

lots of activity at the base of the red cone today.
I saw some, what looked like, pumping of concrete into that area yesterday.
