Default Brake pads- too much dust- need some current choices

The pads and rotors were upgraded on my 90. I do HPDE days with the car and I drive when I "drive" it, so I went with PowerStop track day pads (Ceramic / metallic hybrid ) with my upgraded drilled and slotted rotors. The pads work great and I am very happy with the cold and hot performance...problem...I have NEVER had so much brake dust as I have with these pads. I am not exaggerating, with each car wash, the rims come off to clean the inside of the wheels and calipers and suspension (yeah, I baby my monster too). So I am going to go with a different front pad but I need one that will withstand a weekend at the track with heavy use and will be adequate on the street but needs to have an acceptable amount of brake dust. What recommendation do you have for that combo of use? (running completely rebuilt J55) BTW I did read some old threads.

Advantage of carbotech is compounds are compatible with each other. While the street/auto cross "bobcat" 1521 compound may be marginal for track duty, if you find you need more pad for track you can switch to carbotech xp12/10 combo for front/rear without worrying about a rotor swap at the same time and switch back for street.

The 1521's are very low dust. No dedicated track compound will be low dust.

All compounds are non-corrosive and very easy on the wheels. Even when I neglected to clean for many months it was no issue when I did finally clean.

Note my experiences are on my C6Z06 with polished aluminum OEM wheels. I also use Castrol SRF brake fluid exclusively.

I haven't put carbotech on my '91 ZR-1 yet but will at next brake change.

I put a set of Power Stop Z26 pads on my 2016 Z06 (steel rotors) and I like them a lot. I now have about 15,000 miles on them. They reduce dust and stop as well or better than the stock pads with no squealing. And they cost only about $130 for a full set on Amazon, at least they did a couple of years ago, so a great value. Power Stop from their website appears to have pads available for the C4 Corvettes but I would check with Summit or some other retailer to make sure they will fit the ZR-1. --Bob

I am using powerstop. That is what I am having the extreme dusting coming from. Looking for a different brand. Thanks
