Got them both however, using 1/8" drill rod I happened to have around. Die size is 4-48 which is pretty universal for most dial indicators these days.

Here is the prototype fixture I fabricated to simultaneously position two dial indicators directly over the intake and exhaust lifters.
 In case you are wondering the indicators are mounted 10 degrees off vertical for the intake valve and 12 degrees for the exhaust so they track perfectly with lifter travel. Sent from my iPhone using ZR-1 Net Registry

I'm a few weeks away, maybe 3, from firing up "Series 2" 427 build on the test stand. Cams are timed, externals are being installed, it goes fast from here.
