I almost for got I have had a miss under load for months It started right after I bought my car I did every thing plugs wires coils fuel test cleaners I thought I was loosing my mind and was about to spend $600 for new injectors. Some how the topic came up with Ray he said in his Ray way no you need to fill the plug boots with dieletric greese, Marc walked over and said the same thing. Long story short after months of chaseing my tail on this miss Ray and Marc gave me the $5 fix in the hotel parking lot!!! Thanks Guys That was HUGE!!!!!!!!!!

The only change, and I do mean the only change, I'd make for next year is to have more drinking in the hotel parking lot like I'm used to. That's one thing I always looked forward to was sitting around in the hotel lobby or parking lot and bullshitting till the early morning hours while having a few beers. That was the only thing missing for me this year.

I never heard about doing that. I assume you mean just wiping some grease over the plug terminal?

Sounds great to me. I made it for the first time on Saturday, didn't take #418 cause I new it would rain, it's never been in rain, I came with my two English Setters instead. Hope to come for a couple days next year with the car and would love some parking lot bull and beer till the wee hours....

Well, the way Marc Haibeck descibed it to me between the high compression, and super hot coils it is easier for the charge to travel down the side of the spark plug and ignite there then ignite the spark plug inside the engine because the air in the boot gets ionized or something like that. So you need to get all the air out of the spark spug boot and the best way, is to fill the boot with dialectric grease before you put it on the plug. I filled it to the top and when I thought it was full I added more. I was out of ideas, parts to replace, tests, I had no idea what I was was up against and would try anything. But after months for chasing my Tail for a low speed stumble......$5 worth of diaelctric grease fixed it!!!!

in the olden days we'd spend all night out in the parking lot doing that, among other bullshitting. I think we need to put that on the carlisle schedule next year
