Great time had by all.

Demps: please explain how you got a 4 post lift in what appears to be a standard garage. Is that an illusion?

Maybe start another thread (unless there already is one).

If only we could have had today's weather. We are now back up in the 60's here right now. I have to imagine that this was the first time in years that my car was taken out and actually ran for once. I pushed it past the 130 mark a couple of times and it was still pulling hard. I say this because the car had 15k mi as of 2011 and I crossed the 18.5k mark doing this run yesterday which was over 200mi round trip. This car is extremely tight and like new.

No kidding, 70's today. Let's go see Dave today. See how fast we make it to Dallas. If we get there in under 2 hours, he has to buy us chicken!

You need Jerry to run interference since his radar detector would be essential for a sub 2 hour run![emoji61]

Dave, I didn't see a response from Demps so I thought I would jump in. Each Vette is about 4' high at the highest point so I would guess he had at least 8'6" to 9' to the ceiling. Maybe 10'. Here are a couple of pix of mine--9' 10" at the back and about 10' at the overhead door due to floor slope. My garage is 21' x 21' with an 18' wide door (vs the standard 16'). I have a 5' tall car and a 4' tall car and I moved my door tracks up to within about 6" of the ceiling. Also put in a Jackshaft opener and trimmed the horizontal reinforcing rib on the door above the top car and replaced with a "L" channel piece of steel (after the pix were taken; I can now get then top one in facing forward). But it is certainly an ordinary two car garage from the outside. More pix in my albums section if you need them. The new Z06 is roughly two inches taller than the ZR-1 so there isn't much room left.--Bob

Thanks, Bob. I would like to add a '69 or '70 LT1 as a stable mate to The Beast but can't force the wife to park outside. Time to start measuring...
