Default ZR-1's on eBay

Thought the list might be interested in the following details. I tracked ZR-1 auctions on eBay last month and here is a breakdown of what I gathered (which is not guaranteed to be absolutely complete)There were 31 ZR-1's listed last month.Only 3 cars actually sold on eBay and I suspect that 2 more sold off eBay but am not positive.HIgh dollar sale was #930310 Wht/blk with 22K miles which sold at $29,000.00.Low dollar was #910303 Wht/Gy with 80K miles sold for $16,099.00. Should be noted that this car was modified.Other sale was #911294 Grn/tn, 15.7K, $25,600.00.Another car #911099, R/R, 36K showed reserve had been met at about $19,000. but then the auction was pulled. This car had paint damage and is one of the ones I suspect sold off the auction. There are currently 5 ZR1-s on the auction.

I got mine off ebay. I may have been lucky but the car was about as I expected it. the seller was truthful and disclosed all. I feel that should be the norm but the scary truth is buyer beware. I bought a MBZ on ebay fortunately in town. but was able to re negotiate the car after inspection. the seller did not disclose obvious ommissions and damages. I could have be taken for more than just buying at a dealer if I didn't know what I was doing or looking for.

Jalexander,I too have been following every single ZR1 auction in the hope of finding a great deal. The one for $16,099 is the one I barely missed out on. For that price, I was willing to buy it after having talked to the actual mechanic that did the work on it.Anyway, thanks for the info.

A very decent sounding '90 Red/blk with 29,500 miles sold this morning on eBay at $19,433.00. In my opinion that is a very good price when you consider that a standard '90 L98 with that kind of mileage would bring $12-14K in the SW Florida market. Imagine only $5K more and the buyer got a ZR-1.

Indeed, I was also watching that one. Out of curiosity, do you know at what point the reserve was met?

I am not really sure where the reserve was met, but I believe it was at $19,000.

Thanks anyway. Don't forget to email me if you see any 95's with 5000 miles going for $8,000 or so.

There is currently a black/grey '95 ZR-1 on eBay, with TWELVE miles on it!It was never owned, been stored in a car cell, and is thought to be the lowest mileage ZR-1 in the world. Plus it's a '95 to boot! It is simply beautiful.40 grand and the reserve isn't met.Brett

Hi Brett,I have it in my auction watch list (just for curiosity). That is incredible. What's even more amazing is every once in a while, you see a car from the fifties, or sixties that was stored, and only has a few miles on them. I can't imagine having such a great automobile and not driving it at least every once in a while.

The reserve on the '95 with 12 miles on it has been met! $60,000!Interesting indeed. I didn't think it would make it. Brett
