TIRE PRESSURE SENSORS WITH AFTERMARKET WHEELS? 18"

Does anyone know if there is a way to utilize the sensors on aftermarket wheels (CCW) if larger that stock (18" wheels)? I'm replacing the factory wheels and would like to keep the sensors if possible or should I not worry and just remove the bulb like I have read. I was just trying to keep the feature. I have not tested and maybe they don't even work as I have had to car only for a short time now.
